Ristorante Amedeo has decided to start 2023 with a bang, offering its diners a tasty selection of new creations. As a restaurant in Rome we strive to share true Roman-ness in all its forms, and what better way than taking you on a delicious gastronomic journey?
What’s new this month at Ristorante Amedeo
The beginning of a new year always brings with it a breath of fresh air, and we at Ristorante Amedeo can’t wait to show you what 2023 has in store. Starting next month, we will be bringing you weekly lunch menus packed with traditional Roman dishes dedicated entirely to the capital’s most renowned specialities
Although modern, our restaurant retains the essence of a typical Roman eatery, and that is precisely why our most important New Year’s resolution is to tell you all about the beauty of Rome while sitting at the table, starting precisely with good food. We want you to discover the unmistakable flavours, scents and unique traits that distinguish both typical Roman cuisine and the people who live immersed in the culture of this wonderful Eternal City.

A traditional Roman lunch
Rome’s culinary heritage is rooted in ancient recipes handed down from generation to generation that encapsulate the true flavour of Rome: from Cacio e Pepe pasta, Carciofi alla romana (Roman artichokes) to Tiramisu. Every single speciality we have chosen to recreate a traditional Roman lunch in our restaurant is a genuine explosion of characteristic colours, smells and aromas.
Among the typical Roman first courses, one of the items on our weekly menu is precisely Cacio e Pepe with fresh homemade Tonnarello pasta and a blend of fine peppers, a wonderfully traditional classic. A modest dish, made with simple and genuine ingredients: the sauce is in fact made simply with cream of Pecorino Romano DOP sheeps cheese and top quality peppers that give the pasta its unique taste.
If you would rather a meaty tomato-based pasta dish, you must try our traditional Lasagne, a Roman lasagne made strictly with sheets of fresh egg pasta and plenty of heartwarming meat ragù… a real treat for the tastebuds! This is one of our most popular typically Roman meat dishes among the many other specialities on our menu, just waiting to satisfy you every week.

The taste of simplicity
The history of Roman cuisine dates back thousands of years and succeeds wonderfully in engaging all our senses thanks to its simple and fresh ingredients. Even in ancient times, the attention to detail and the careful selection of genuine raw materials were already characteristic of this gastronomic culture, making it one of the most appreciated in the world. That is why every single one of our recipes is made with only the finest ingredients, in keeping with tradition and to bring out the very best of the authentic flavours in the dishes we lovingly prepare every day.
Our Traditional Roman dishes are waiting for you in Rome, at Via Principe Amedeo 16.
